Trails – The Wilbur Wright Trail is directly accessible from the neighborhood. This growing trail network provides opportunities for walking and biking. Plans are in the works to connect the trail to the Cardinal Greenway leading to Muncie.

Parks – Memorial Park is less than a mile away, featuring short trails, playgrounds, picnic shelters, and a golf course. Memorial Park is also home to the Henry County Saddle Club, which regularly hosts events that are open to the public. There are several other parks located throughout Henry County, including Summit Lake State Park, which boasts excellent fishing options.

Fitness Centers – The Preserve at Northfield Park is within walking distance of the Henry County YMCA. The Y has a pool, wellness center, group exercise classes, a large gymnasium, youth sports, and a preschool. Henry County also has other fitness centers including Anytime Fitness.

Main Street District – New Castle has a growing downtown district, which provides a charming setting for shopping, eating, and experiencing art. The 1400 Plaza, located in the heart of downtown, regularly hosts free community activities.

Library – New Castle-Henry County Public Library is less than a mile away and provides regular programming for all ages in addition to a wide selection of materials to borrow.

Restaurants – Find an extensive variety of restaurants to choose from including home-style favorites, pizza joints, and quick-service eateries.

Events – New Castle hosts many events each year including the state’s largest Memorial Day parade, a Christmas Walk, monthly cruise-ins during summer months, a July 4 festival and fireworks, Renaissance Festival, and 4-H Fair.
